What is a Lithium-Polymer Battery (Li-Polymer)?

Li-polymer batteries are lightweight and energy-efficient, commonly used in portable devices such as phones, laptops, and tablets. They have no memory effect, meaning their capacity doesn’t degrade from irregular charging or discharging. You can charge partially discharged batteries without harm, and they don’t need to be fully charged. In fact, avoiding extreme charge or discharge levels can prolong the battery’s life.

The self-discharge rate is relatively slow—about 5% per month—mostly due to the internal protection mechanism.

This product’s battery is designed for up to 1,000 charge cycles, compared to the usual 500 cycles in cheaper power banks. After 1,000 cycles, the battery retains at least 80% of its original capacity, after which its capacity gradually decreases.

The charging efficiency is at least 98%, meaning the battery can return nearly all the energy used to charge it.

To extend the battery’s lifespan, avoid completely discharging it. If unused for long periods, it’s recommended to store it at around half charge.
