Water purification tablets are essential

When you are on a tourist trip in distant countries, you’ll still have a nagging feeling whether the tap water is really clean enough to drink. For example, the World Health Organisation (WHO) attributes 80% of all travel-related illnesses to contaminated drinking water. It’s definitely not comfortable to have stomach problems when you’re traveling. Therefore, it is recommended to always take Katadyn Micropur Classic water purification tablets with you as a preventive measure.

How Micropur Classic works

Water purification tablets eliminate harmful drinking water threats such as viruses and bacteria, including common gut killers such as E. coli, Salmonella and Cholera. However, it is important to note that silver ion tablets do not remove chemical contaminants, sediment or certain protozoa. To purify water taken from a natural source, we recommend using water purification tablets Katadyn Micropur Forte, to which a safe amount of chlorine has been added in addition to silver ions.

Using a water purification tablet

Katadyn Micropur Classic water purification tablets are a fast and effective effervescent water treatment means for obtaining clean drinking water. One tablet treats one liter of water. Using silver ions, it retains the water’s drinking qualities for up to 6 months. Designed for cleaning tap water.

• Add 1 effervescent water treatment tablet per liter of water. Leave to work for 2 hours.

Precautions

• Do not use with other products.
• Causes severe eye irritation. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses when they are worn and can be easily removed. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists, consult a doctor.
• Have the package or label handy when consulting your doctor.
• Keep out of the reach of children.
• Store in a dry place, protected from light, in the original packaging.
• Toxic to aquatic organisms, causes long-term side effects.
• Avoid release to the environment.
• Dispose of contents/container according to local regulations.
